Put God First

Put God First

“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Every morning we wake up a little sleepy; a little anticipatory of the day ahead of us, and it’s very easy to forget that the Lord is working in our lives. We all have our routines in the morning, which may or may not include giving praise to the Lord for waking you up this day. But eventually we come to ourselves and are able to give God the glory he deserves; unless of course we overslept, in which case we get the kid(s) ready, get ready, get in the car, head to work, oh yeah… “But for the grace of god go I”

“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:3

Let’s slow down a little, give God the credit he deserves before we think about ourselves, even a little prayer in the morning and God’s grace abounds to joy throughout your day regardless the circumstances. Continuous prayer, then it’s as if Christ is with you always, assisting you in every task, supporting your every action, loving you despite yourself. God is great, and wants you to come to Him, to love Him, and to share the love he gives back with EVERYBODY.

“Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19

We all have things on our minds, an worries in our life – To slow down doesn’t mean to forget your troubles – the majority of us don’t have that luxury – No, it means to give your troubles to God, and as sure as the sun will rise after it sets, the Holy Spirit will work in your life and help you regardless the situation, if you remember Him,

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Heavenly Father, thank you for today, as I am never guaranteed a tomorrow, I ask you to go before me and bless my day and anything I accomplish today is thanks to you. Guide me according to your will and lead me away from sin and evil. Thank you – I Love You – Amen!
